This rhododendron, along with two pals, was planted in spring 2012. This is the first year we've had blooms. I'm almost certain they are supposed to be yellow, but I haven't bothered to check the tag (which I have on file). Not much point in checking, since they are THIS color, and quite beautiful.

It's a girl! Like you said still lovely, even though not yellow. Perfect match to Miss Z with that technicolor outfit. Looks like the show will continue for a while with all those buds too.
All things growing and blooming! Maybe the other two will be yellow. I love those red shoes!
